What does Elizabeth do to protect John Proctors name in the book The Crucible by Arthur Miller?

In the play "The Crucible" by Arthur Miller, Elizabeth Proctor tries to protect her husband, John Proctor's name by remaining silent during her trial. She refuses to testify against him or admit that she saw Abigail Williams and the other girls practicing witchcraft in the woods she claims that it was not her husband but Abigail Williams who was responsible.
