Who subpoenaed Abbie Hoffman?

Abbie Hoffman was subpoenaed by the United States House Committee on Un-American Activities (HUAC) in 1968.

He was called to testify about his involvement in the protests at the 1968 Democratic National Convention in Chicago, which became known as the "Chicago Eight" trial.

Hoffman, along with other activists, had been accused of inciting violence and disruption at the convention. He refused to cooperate with the committee and was ultimately found in contempt of Congress.
