Did the Maya have a ouroboros symbol?

The Maya did not have the ouroboros symbol. The ouroboros is a snake or serpent biting its own tail, usually as a symbol of cyclic regeneration. The Maya civilization had an elaborate system of religion and mythology, as well as a rich artistic tradition, but the ouroboros does not appear to have been a part of their culture. Other Mesoamerican cultures, such as the Aztecs, did use the ouroboros symbol, but it was not widespread in the region.
