What is the synopsis of city bones?

City Bones tells the story of a young girl named Samantha Bone who lives in the fictional city of New York City in a dystopian future. Samantha's parents have died in a plane crash, and she has been living on the streets, stealing food and sleeping in abandoned buildings. One day, she is caught by a group of adults and taken to the Institute, a school that teaches children how to fight and survive in the harsh world.

Samantha struggles to adjust to life at the Institute, where she is bullied by the other students and frequently punished by the teachers. However, she eventually makes friends with a group of other students, and they begin to form a close bond. Together, they must face many challenges, including the threat of the Shadow Man, a mysterious figure who is said to haunt the city and prey on children.

As Samantha and her friends investigate the Shadow Man, they uncover a dark conspiracy that threatens the lives of everyone in the city. They must use all of their skills and courage to stop the Shadow Man and save the city.
