Put on eye-protecting goggles. Try to find goggles that have very small air vents to provide maximum protection from the sharp ends of the wire.
Untwist the wire hangers. Most of your sculptures will not retain the twisted ends and hook of the original shape.
Bend the wire with your hands to get a feel for its strength and resistance. Arrange the wire to form various shapes until you decide what the final sculpture will be.
Use the pliers to bend the wire into acute angles and specific shapes. This may require holding pliers in both hands to get the exact shape you want.
Cut the excess wire with the wire cutters. Some artists like to incorporate the original twisted ends into the new sculpture, while other remove the twists altogether.
