Instructions

    • 1

Put on a dust mask, rubber gloves and protective goggles to protect your lungs, skin and eyes from the plaster of Paris dust.

    • 2

Place a large bowl underneath your plaster sculpture.

    • 3

Hold your plaster of Paris sculpture in one hand, and use the other hand to rub rough-grain sandpaper over the sculpture. Use small, circular motions with the sandpaper.

    • 4

Move the sandpaper around the plaster so that the grains effectively grind down the plaster into usable plaster of Paris powder.

    • 5

Once you have about 3 cups of plaster of Paris powder in your bowl, add 1 cup of water into it.

    • 6

Stir the mixture well with a spoon, and use it for your arts and crafts projects.
