However, the first commercial peanut butter was produced in 1895 by Dr. John Harvey Kellogg, a famous proponent of vegetarianism and healthy living.
While Carver didn't invent peanut butter, he did develop over 300 products from peanuts, including peanut flour, milk, and cheese. His work helped to popularize the peanut as a food source, and it ultimately helped to boost peanut butter's popularity.
