- Hunting and fishing: The Miwok men also hunted and fished to supplement the mission's food supply. They hunted for deer, rabbits, and other game, and fished in the nearby rivers and streams.
- Transportation: The Miwok men were responsible for transporting goods and materials for the mission, both within the mission grounds and to and from other missions. They used canoes and pack animals to transport goods and supplies.
- Religious observances: The Miwok men participated in the religious observances of the mission, including attending Mass, praying, and singing hymns. They also assisted the padres in conducting religious ceremonies and rituals.
