Was called the land of bow?

The Land of Bow was a name used by the Assyrians to refer to Nubia, an ancient kingdom located in the Nile Valley in what is now northern Sudan and southern Egypt. The term "Land of Bow" was used to describe the region because of the Nubians' skill with archery and their use of the bow and arrow as a primary weapon in battle.
