1. Gather Your Materials:
- Weave hair of the desired length and texture
- Thread and needle (curved or blunt)
-Bobby pins or clips
2. Secure Front Section:
- Start with the front section of your weave. Part your natural hair into a horseshoe shape from ear to ear.
- Clip the rest of your hair out of the way.
3. Cornrows:
- Braid your natural hair into cornrows going toward the back of your head.
- These cornrows will serve as the base for attaching your weave.
4. Attach the Weave:
- Take a section of your weave hair and match it with the width of the cornrow.
- Place the weave section under the cornrow and bring it over the top.
- Fold the edges of the weave section under, creating a pocket around the cornrow.
5. Sewing the Weave:
- Thread your needle with a double thread. Knot one end of the thread securely.
- Starting at the back of the head, insert the needle under the weave section into the cornrow.
-Bring the needle back out through the weave and cornrow, forming a loop.
- Pull the thread to tighten the loop and secure the weave.
6. Continue Sewing:
- Continue sewing across the entire width of the weave section.
- Move forward with subsequent weave sections, repeating the process.
7. Secure the Sides:
- When you reach the sides, gradually angle your sewing towards the back.
-Make sure to secure the edges of the weave neatly.
8. Secure the Back:
- At the back of the head, join the two sides together by sewing one or more cornrows.
-Make sure the back is closed securely to prevent slipping.
9. Bobby Pinning:
- After sewing, use bobby pins to secure any remaining loose hair onto your cornrows.
- This ensures that the weave stays in place.
10. Styling:
- Once the weave is closed, you can style your hair as desired.
- You can add curl, waves, or straighten the weave to match your preference.
11. Maintenance:
- Regularly inspect your weave for any loose threads or shedding.
- Take care of your natural hair underneath by moisturizing and oiling your scalp.
