Instructions

    • 1

Purchase a lamp with a solid base. Use a hot glue gun to apply a strip of glue across the base. Place the deer horn directly onto the glue and hold in place for 10 seconds. Repeat until the entire lamp base is covered.

Create a pendant-style lighting fixture with deer horns. Buy a simple wooden chandelier without any dangling parts. Use fast curing Gorilla glue to secure a row of deer horns around the top of the chandelier. Press and hold each horn firmly for 60 seconds against the chandelier. Horns should be interlocking in an arrangement in which most of the horn tips are pointed toward the ceiling. Attach multiple rows of deer horns until you reach the bottom of the chandelier, allowing the glue to dry completely between rows.

Design a tabletop centerpiece using deer horns. Purchase a large, thick candle that matches the decor of your setting. Stand deer horns upright against the candle and secure them in place using hot glue. Tie a decorative ribbon around the entire structure.

Create a practical piece of art using deer horns as a coat rack. Use a piece of 2-by-4 lumber approximately 3 feet in length. Stain wood to match the decor of your setting. Gather 5 horns that are similar in size. Use a saw to create a flat surface at each horn base that will attach to the wood. Sand the area until smooth. Measure in 2 inches on the left and right side of the 2-by-4. Mark with a pencil. Measure an additional 8 inches in from the pencil mark on the left side. Do this 3 times. Attach horns to the 2-by-4 over each pencil mark. Hold the horn firmly against the 2-by-4 with the tip of the horn pointed towards the ceiling. Attach it using a power drill and 3-inch screws. Attach hanging brackets to backside of the 2-by-4 for wall placement.
