Titanium is not entirely scratch-resistant so eventually a band will show evidence of wear and tear; however, any jeweler can polish a band and make it look brand new again. Because titanium bands are made from solid titanium bars the rings are seamless. They are also extremely durable.
Titanium is lightweight, but it is incredibly strong and does not bend easily. Once a ring is sized, it is impossible to resize. If a titanium band is stuck on a finger, two cuts are required to remove it safely from the wearer. A gold band would require one cut since gold bands and can be removed easily once one cut is made.
It is perfectly safe to wear titanium bands. Titanium does not irritate the skin. In fact, dentists and surgeons employ titanium in dental implants, hip replacements and even heart valves.
