Open Corel Paint Shop Pro on your computer and create a new file by going to "File" and "New." This new image should be transparent. Size it to any dimensions you want, although 400 pixels by 100 pixels would be ideal for this project.
Select the "Rectangle" tool in the panel to the left in your program and right-click on it to bring up options. Click "Tool options" and select "Rounded rectangle" in the drop-down menu.
Click at the top left of the selection as your starting point and create a rounded rectangle, leaving a small amount of empty space around the shape.
Place your mouse on the black arrow on the topmost rectangle in the color options to the right of the program and select the second choice, which looks like a square with lighter to darker gray vertical stripes running over it. This is your gradient tool. Choose a default gradient or create your own gradient by selecting your own colors in the two rectangles at the very top of the panel. Also, make sure the gradient is set to linear and 180 degrees.
Click on the "Flood fill" tool in the panel on the left of the program to fill your selection with a gradient.
Cut a small portion at the top of the button using the "rounded rectangle" tool, then change the color to solid and add white.
Go to "Effects" at the top of the program and select "Gaussian blur." Set the blur to 75 to get a reflective effect that looks natural. Afterward, go back and add "Blur," if you like, to give it an even more natural look.
