Create your own Indiana Jones play set to use with an Indiana Jones Lego set or with other toys. Carve molded polystyrene foam to look like mountains, temples and caves. Twirl twine to create ropes and vines that "Indy" can swing across while he saves his leading lady. Set the play set on a cardboard or wooden base and create elaborate roads with glued-on sand.
Draw a portrait of a friend or loved one as the Indiana Jones character he most resembles. Fun characters include Sapito and Marion from "Raiders of the Lost Ark," Willie and Short Round from "Temple of Doom," and Dr. Jones and Elsa from "The Last Crusade."
Create a comic strip or book that inserts your best friends and family into different roles from the Indiana Jones films. Incorporate facts from each person's life into their comic characters. For example, Indiana Jones hates snakes. If the comic stars your husband or father in Indiana Jones's role, incorporate the thing he hates most into a similar situation. The setting of the adventure can be changed to modern day. For example, you could exalt Mom's travels through the grocery store into a feat only a special woman with a whip can achieve.
Major fans of the Indiana Jones films may enjoy having a shadow box of their favorite characters displayed on their wall. Shadow box kits can be purchased at a craft store. Gather magazine photos of the Indiana Jones characters and turn them into a collage in the depth of the box. Arrange a tiny whip and other miniature figurines that look like artifacts from the movies, such as the ark of the covenant and the holy grail, around the box. Add flair to personalize the box to your liking.
