Find a piece of wood to use as the base for the plaque. Wood's natural adherence makes it popular when it comes to attaching paper products.
Select a picture to use for the plaque. You may also choose to use more than one, depending on the occasion and the size of the base.
Coat the wooden base with some acrylic craft glue. Use a paintbrush to apply it evenly over the entire surface.
Place the picture onto the glued base. Press down on all corners of the photo to secure it in place.
Cover the top of the photo, and any visible areas of the base, with a coat of acrylic craft glue using a paintbrush. This will set the photo into the base, making the plaque durable.
Allow the glue to set for 20 minutes, or until completely dry.
Apply one more coat of craft glue over top of the plaque. This coat will add gloss to the project.
Allow the glue to dry completely, before hanging the plaque on display.
