Click anywhere on the page where you want to add an art border to select the page.
Select "Insert," "Picture" and then "Clip Art" in the menu at the top left of your screen.
Type "Page Borders" in the clip art search box and then select "Go."
Select the clip art page border you desire.
Click on the border in your publication to select it and then drag a handle on the border to resize the border.
Click anywhere on the page where you want to add an art border to select the page.
Select the "BorderArt" icon at the top of your screen and then select "Create Custom."
Uncheck the box next to the option "Use Clip Organizer to Select the Picture."
Click the "Select Picture" option.
Select the photo or graphic you want from your computer files as prompted. This will create a border from your photo or graphic.
Click on the border in your publication to select it and then drag a handle on the border to resize the border.
Click anywhere on the page where you want to add an art border to select the page.
Select the "Graphic Inspector" icon on the upper right-hand corner of your screen.
Choose "Picture Frame" under the "Stroke" menu and select the graphical border you desire.
Drag the border in the document so that it borders just one section of the document or the entire document.
Click anywhere on the page where you want to add an art border to select the page.
Select the "Media" icon on the upper right-hand corner of your screen.
Find the image you wish to use within your computer files as prompted and drag and drop the image or graphic to the document where you would like it to appear.
Mouse onto a corner of the image and drag in or out to make the image smaller or larger.
Repeat Steps 1 through 4 until you have formed a custom border with the images or graphics of your choosing.
Click anywhere on the page where you want to add an art border to select the page.
Select "Format," "Page" and then "Borders."
Make selections under the "Borders" section where you will find multiple categories. Under the "Line Arrangement" category, choose where you want the border to appear on your page. Under the "Style" category choose the style of border you would like. You can also choose size, color and shading options.
Click anywhere on the page where you want to add an art border to select the page.
Select "Tools," "Gallery" and "New Theme" to add images and graphics to the OpenOffice clip art gallery from files on your computer when prompted.
Select "Insert," "Header" and "Default." Then select "Insert," "Footer" and "Default." This will create a blank border at the top and bottom of your page.
Select "Tools" and "Gallery." Find the graphic files you placed in OpenOffice and drag and drop each file of your choosing into the header and footer sections of the page.
Mouse onto a corner of each of the images and drag in or out to make the image smaller or larger.
