How to Make a Cheap Skateboard Graphic With Markers

If you have a skateboard you'd like to jazz up with your own customized design, you can do it using nothing more than standard craft markers. While markers can not match the vibrant and solid colors of paint, they still can create an attractive visual design. While it doesn't matter which type of markers you can use, permanent markers come in a variety of colors and have a very bold application.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the trucks and wheels from the skateboard.

    • 2

Use a pencil to draw an outline of your design on the skateboard deck.

    • 3

Use markers to fill in the design. Instead of scribbling around to quickly fill in the color, use strokes in the same direction to create a smooth, neat appearance.

    • 4

Spray a coat of clear acrylic sealant onto the skateboard deck. Hold the nozzle 12 inches away from the skateboard and spray the sealant in swift, circular motions.

    • 5

Allow the board to thoroughly dry before replacing the wheels and trucks.
