Where did grandma Moses study art?
Grandma Moses, born Anna Mary Robertson Moses,
did not study art formally. She began painting in her late 70s as a way to pass the time and alleviate the pain of arthritis. She was largely self-taught, drawing inspiration from her own memories and experiences.
While she never attended art school, she did receive guidance and encouragement from a local art dealer, Louis J. Caldor. He helped her develop her artistic style and gain recognition.
