Why in modern day cartoons do they not have the same kind of music or amount as old cartoons?

1. Changes in production methods:

- Traditional hand-drawn animation has largely been replaced by digital animation which involves different workflows and software.

2. Evolution of music licensing and cost:

- Licensing popular music for use in cartoons can be expensive making studios opt for original compositions

- Old cartoons were less concerned with licensing costs since laws have become tighter.

3. Changing audience preferences:

- Modern audiences may have different musical preferences such as more contemporary styles

4. Desire for unique identities:

- Studios might intentionally distance themselves from the musical style of classic cartoons to establish identities

5. Focus on dialogue and voice acting:

- Some modern cartoons prioritise voice-over for characterization and plot delivery reducing the need for background music.
