Organize a group of art lovers who especially love Pablo Picasso. Meet monthly to discuss various aspects of his life and work. Focus on one aspect per meeting with a different member hosting each time. Make it a little more fun by occasionally discussing his social affairs as bits of gossip and scandal. Design a tablescape of refreshments and snacks based on Picasso works.
Throw a Picasso-themed party with guests representing characters or elements of his paintings. Use the minotaur or harlequin motifs, for example. Have all the men -- or even the women -- come with heads shaved bald or bald wigs applied. Have plenty of Picasso reproductions around to accent the event and prompt discussion and friendly argument.
Sponsor classes or discussion groups and bring in a Picasso expert, aficionado or an arts instructor to lead the group. Touch on a specific period of his art through the years, such as The Blue Period or Cubism. Discuss brush technique, use of color or social themes of the paintings.
Set up a public event for Picasso -- or art in general -- awareness. Work with a local or regional museum or gallery to set up live model tableaux based on his works. Rotate the models and the themes to involve as many Picasso-philes as possible and to keep everyone from become exhausted.
