Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit (200 degrees Celsius).
2. In a large bowl, combine the cornstarch, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
3. Add the pears to the bowl and toss to coat them evenly with the sugar mixture.
4. Pour the melted butter over the pears and stir until they are evenly coated.
5. Pour the pears and the remaining liquid into a 9-inch square baking dish.
6. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pears are softened and the liquid is bubbling.
7. Drizzle with vanilla extract and serve warm or cold.
