How to Load a Parker Pen

The Parker Pen Company has been manufacturing writing instruments since 1888. Production over the years has been carried out in both the United States and the United Kingdom. Parker's range of pens include fountain pens and ball point pens. The pens have an ink supply which comes in renewable cartridges, either simple ink cartridges for the fountain pens, or disposable ball points for the ball point pens. These can be loaded quickly and easily.

Instructions

  1. Fountain Pen

    • 1

      Take the pen lid off.

    • 2

Unscrew the barrel from the nib --the pointed end of the pen which distributes the ink on the writing surface.

    • 3

Insert the ink cartridge into the portal on the nib. Push the cartridge in until you hear it click into place.

    • 4

Screw the barrel on over the cartridge. Replace the pen lid.

    Ball Point Pen

    • 5

Unscrew the barrel from the pen base. If the pen has a lid then take of the lid and unscrew the barrel from the nib housing.

    • 6

Insert the disposable ball point into the barrel or the nib housing. Slide the spring over the top of the ball point if loading into the barrel.

    • 7

Screw the barrel back onto the pen base or the nib housing. Replace the lid if necessary.
