What is an inventory screen in Pokemon Diamond and Pearl?

In the Pokémon Diamond and Pearl games, the inventory screen is a menu that allows players to view and manage their items. It can be accessed by pressing the [Y] button on the main menu. The inventory screen is divided into several sections:
