How to Oil a Brother HL-5050 Printer

Oiling your Brother HL-5050 printer is a simple task that can help to extend the life of your printer and improve its performance. Here are the steps on how to oil your Brother HL-5050 printer:

1. Gather your supplies.

* You will need a small bottle of printer oil, a cotton swab, and a pair of tweezers.

2. Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power outlet.

This will help to prevent any accidents.

3. Open the printer cover.

The printer cover is located on the front of the printer.

4. Locate the fuser unit.

The fuser unit is located inside the printer, on the right side.

5. Apply a small amount of oil to the fuser shaft.

Use the cotton swab to apply a small amount of oil to the fuser shaft.

6. Rotate the fuser shaft by hand.

This will help to distribute the oil evenly.

7. Close the printer cover.

8. Plug the printer back in to the power outlet and turn it on.

Your printer is now ready to use.

Note: You should oil the printer fuser shaft every 500-1000 prints.
