The Best Air Brushes

An airbrush provides precise control when spray painting an object or surface. They are used to do retouches and restorations on various crafts; draw, create logos and graphics (on automobiles); and decorate and paint ceramic and mural works. In addition, airbrushing has been used for body art (tattoos), tanning (to create a fake tan image), and for cosmetic, makeup, and nail art.
  1. Single-Action Airbrushes

    • Beginnners often use single-action airbrushes for painting craft items. These airbrushes have a finger control button on the top to control the paint and air flow. The Paasche H is a versatile single-action air brush that is best for beginners. It is sturdy, flexible, dependable and adaptable for practically any hobby craft.

    Double-Action Airbrushes

    • The double-action airbrush is more advanced than its single-action counterpart because it is used for detailed and graphic art. It is harder to use because it requires opening the valve to control the paint and air flow. It does, however, provide more strokes to complete the artist's work quicker. Skilled artists often rely on Badger airbrushes. The Badger 150 airbrush, for example, is used to produce fine finishes on artistic work. It is affordable, and easy to use and maintain.

    Airbrush Kits

    • A basic hobby paint kit (like the Paasche Model H Airbrush Set) comes with a single-action airbrush, airbrush adapters, bottle assemblies, hanger, wrench, and booklet. Hobbyists use these kits for models and crafts. The Badger Model 150 Professional Airbrush Set contains a double-action airbrush.
