Locate the gear shifter. On most Edlund mixers, the gear shifter is located on the front of the machine, just below the control panel.
Step 2:
Turn off the mixer. Before you can change gears, you must make sure that the mixer is turned off. This will help to prevent any accidents.
Step 3:
Move the gear shifter to the desired position. The gear shifter on most Edlund mixers has three positions:
- Low: This is the slowest speed setting and should be used for tasks that require a lot of torque, such as mixing dough or grinding meat.
- Medium: This is the middle speed setting and should be used for most general mixing tasks, such as making cakes or soups.
- High: This is the fastest speed setting and should be used for tasks that require a lot of speed, such as whipping cream or making mayonnaise.
Step 4:
Turn the mixer back on. Once you have moved the gear shifter to the desired position, you can turn the mixer back on. The mixer will now operate at the selected speed.
