Why did most inventors want to make new products?

There are many reasons why inventors want to make new products. Some of the most common reasons include:

* To solve a problem. Many inventors are motivated by a desire to solve a problem that they have encountered in their own lives or that they have observed in the world around them. For example, the inventor of the first fire extinguisher was motivated by the need to put out fires quickly and easily, while the inventor of the first car was motivated by the desire to find a faster and more efficient way to travel.

* To improve upon an existing product. Inventors are often inspired by existing products and see ways to make them better. For example, the inventor of the first personal computer was motivated by the desire to make computers more accessible and user-friendly, while the inventor of the first smartphone was motivated by the desire to combine the features of a cell phone and a personal computer into a single device.

* To create something new and unique. Some inventors are simply driven by a desire to create something new and unique. They may be fascinated by the challenge of inventing new things or they may simply enjoy the satisfaction of seeing their ideas come to life.

* To make money. While not all inventors are motivated by money, some do see inventing as a way to make a profit. Inventors can earn money from royalties on their inventions, from selling their inventions to companies, or from starting their own companies to manufacture and sell their inventions.
