How many Disney parks are there in the world and where they?

There are 12 Disney parks in the world, split into two categories:

Disneyland Resorts

* Disneyland Park (Anaheim, California, USA): The original Disneyland, opened in 1955.

* Disney California Adventure Park (Anaheim, California, USA): Opened in 2001, adjacent to Disneyland Park.

* Tokyo Disneyland (Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, Japan): Opened in 1983, the first Disney park outside of the United States.

* Tokyo DisneySea (Urayasu, Chiba Prefecture, Japan): Opened in 2001, featuring a unique nautical theme.

* Disneyland Park (Paris, France): Opened in 1992, the first Disney park in Europe.

* Hollywood Studios (Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA): Opened in 1989, themed around Hollywood and the entertainment industry.

* Animal Kingdom (Lake Buena Vista, Florida, USA): Opened in 1998, celebrating the natural world and featuring live animals.
