How to Display LPs on a Wall

If you are a music collector, you most likely have a series of long-playing records---known as LPs---sitting in storage. You may be proud of these and want to show them off to others---but you're not quite sure how to do so. With the right frame, you can display your LPs on any wall in your house. LP records and frames are lightweight, so hanging a display is a breeze and only takes a few minutes to complete.

Instructions

    • 1

Measure the diameter of the LP. They typically come in either 10- or 12-inch sizes. If you have a 10-inch LP, you will need a 10-by-10-inch frame. With 12-inch LPs, you need a 12-by-12-inch one.

    • 2

Lay the frame flat on a solid surface, and then remove the back cardboard. More than likely, a paper image is placed underneath the cardboard against the glass. You won't need it.

    • 3

Place the LP into the frame and place the cardboard back over the LP.

    • 4

Select a position on the wall where you want to display your LP. Hammer in a nail at that spot. Find the loop on the back of the LP frame and hang the frame over the nail in the wall.

    • 5

Adjust the frame into it is up straight on the wall. Step back to inspect it and make sure it isn't crooked.
