Logan 700SGM Mat Cutter Instructions

The Logan 700SGM is designed to help cut corners on matting board. Matting board is used to frame pictures. This is usually a tedious process that requires you to draw out the boarder of your mat, carefully trace out the lines with a ruler and drag a cutting blade across them. Instead, with the Logan 700GSM you just need to line up the device with your mat and it will do the work for you.

Instructions

    • 1

Adjust the measurement on your matboard cutter to the size you want your matboard boarder. It is marked in inches, so position the matboard cutter to the exact size, then tighten the screws to secure the matboard cutter.

    • 2

Position the two spacers that come with the Logan 700GSM against the matboard cutter, then slide the matboard color side up along the spacers.

    • 3

Adjust the knob on your Logan 700GSM to match the same measurement you have on the matboard cutter. This ensures the cutter does not go past the desired measurement on your mat while cutting it.

    • 4

Push down firmly on the metal lever on the Logan 700GSM. This pushes the blade down into the matboard. Drag the Logan device down until you reach the bottom of the matboard. This completely cuts down the length of the mat. Repeat this process with each side of the matboard to cut out your window.
